Look out - there's a "Lion" (Apple's latest and greatest Mac OS X) right around the corner! We've got good news if you're planning to upgrade right away: our apps are already running fine on Lion! There are a few minor interface glitches in Audiobook Builder, CheckBook and CheckBook Pro but your favorite slimy green software developer (that's us) is on top of it. Macworld 2011
In January, the Splasm Software team flew out to San Francisco to commune with the many Mac lovers out there, including some famous folks. Check out the picture of Terra with Sinbad, the keynote speaker for this year's exhibition. This was her first year at Macworld, and Splasm's second attending as a team. We handed out Splasm t-shirts, stickers, and magnets to participants of the 2nd Annual Search for Splasm (as well as a few randomly lucky people who walked by while we were feeling star-struck and generous). It was truly impressive and fun to see displays from companies such as Omni Group as well as catching up with users and saying hi to eSellerate, the fine people who help us sell from our online store. MoneyBug
CheckBook 2.2 and CheckBook Pro 2.2 came out last week with a couple of tasty new features and several bug fixes…but where does that leave MoneyBug, our upcoming personal finance manager for iOS? You could read Keith's blog post but the short answer is MoneyBug is still in development and it is still a very high priority for us. This year we've learned a hard lesson that we can't quote a ship date without knowing for certain we can nail that date with a product that meets both our high expectations and yours. MoneyBug isn't there yet. We want you to hang in there because we think it'll be worth the wait - but we understand if you need to find another iOS solution. Use what works best for you. That's only fair.
