Hi Devs -

I know (or at least hope) MoneyBug is in development, but please don't rely on iCloud to do it. Another Mac/iPhone/iPad money solution recently released their mobile app using icloud syncing and it made the app completely unusable for those of us that have multiple users of the same checkbook ( husband and wife with different iCloud accounts). I love CBP and can't wait for mobile solution, I just hope the long-waited app doesn't stumble into the same traps others have.

The forthcoming update for CheckBook and CheckBook Pro on the Mac will provide iCloud syncing as an option, but the main sync process will be handled quite differently and these syncing options will essentially be mirrored in MoneyBug. So, rest assured, we're not relying on iCloud for anything really—it'll just be an option that's there for those who want it.

Anyway, you'll be able to see for yourself how it all works pretty soon with 2.5. Basically, at the click of a button, copies of CheckBook (Pro) running on computers that are on a shared network will be able merge data sets in a matter of seconds.

Thanks for your suggestions and continued support!

Thanks for the reply - this is good to hear.

So, does that mean you will need to be on the same network for mobile syncing to work, as well? Again, I know it's not ready yet, but I'm just trying to forecast if the app will be able to accomplish what my household requires.

Thank you!
