One of the many positives of Quicken is ability reconcile according to bank statement balance. I can be off and that benchmark is always correct.
I cannot see how to do with Checkbook. It's designed for the user to seek charges/deposits that aren't there.
Simply asked: how I can recon according to my bank, NOT according to my entries?

Thx

It is actually quite easy to do. Unfortunately, I am away from my computer right now and cannot give you step by step instructions. Look under reconcile in the help menu.

Don't know if you've resolved this yet, but I am back at my computer after a rather nice and lengthy stint in the UK.

Click the "Reconcile" tab at the bottom of your window. This will bring up a reconciliation view. Just enter the ending statement balance and then hit "return" or "tab". You can then check off the entries you've made that have cleared your bank. If everything is reconciled, you should have $0.00 in the Unreconciled column. If not, make sure you have entered every debit/credit that has cleared your bank. Sometimes I forget to make an entry and my bank statement serves as a reminder. After you have no unreconciled entries, you can click the "reconcile" button at the lower right of the window.

Hope this helps.
