Apple's portable devices are kind of built as a one way gate. They like to receive files, but they dont like to give them up to other devices or computers. The easiest way to copy audiobooks from your Mac to your PC would be to click on the file in your iTunes library on your Mac, then go the File menu and select 'Show in Finder'. This will open a window and show you the actual file location of your book. You can then copy that to a thumb drive, CD, or over the network and drop it into iTunes on your PC.
You can also try finding an application for your PC that allow you to copy files back off of your iDevice if that is the only extra storage device you have. There are a few out there, but make sure you get it from a reputable source.
