I love the idea of having deposits and withdrawals color coded.

However, having a positive balance in the "Balance" column show in RED doesn't work for me, so I turned colors off.

Any chance of changing that?

Well, to avoid the rainbow effect and confusion of having multiple colors per line, the colors are meant as an impact on your balance. The amount is positive or negative, so the balance is positively or negatively affected by that entry. So in turn, we stuck with one color per line, based on the entry amount.

Probably not the answer you want to hear, but we do appreciate the feedback!

I don't like it either. It looks like I am in the hole all the time. Couldn't it be green then unless you are really in the hole?

Thanks.

Or maybe just let us change the color in the balance column like we can for deposits and debits?

We have this request in our request list and will track it as well as rate it when we go over our features we may include in upcoming versions of CheckBook. It would most likely be a preference to color the debits and deposit values of the running balance column according to their value instead of the value of the entry amount.

Yes, I agree that having the color in the Balance column change with the type of entry seems odd. It would be great to be able to change this behavior by setting a preference. Thanks!!
