Hi,

Three simple ideas for consideration:

1) Keyboard utilization: please allow all of the features of the interface to be accessible from only the keyboard. The current interface requires constantly switching between the mouse and the keyboard; the account type is especially inconvenient.

2) Data storage: consider moving all of the data storage to user's Documents directory — ~/Documents from the user's Library. The benefits would be (1) easier to backup; and (2) easier to sync between two computers.

3) UI: ditch the brush metal, not just for me, but for yourself! A radical makeover of the UI will help sell new users, guaranteed!

Finally, one not so simple idea, but worth consideration: for those who are moving to the cloud, give us the option to either (a) simply sync the database, with me.com or the software of our choice (SugarSync for me; DropBox for others); or (b) keep the database securely in the cloud.

Thanks for listening!

I rarely have to use the mouse. You can make entries entirely using just the keyboard, and that includes transfers between accounts and you can switch between accounts using the arrow keys.

Personally I rather like the UI. A lot of the financial software out there uses too much eye candy!

I'd agree about where the data file should be kept and would also ditto you on having better cloud access, though I will probably not use that. I do back up my data to iDisk regularly and it would be nice if this were automatic.
