I'm considering CheckBook, as I want a check register on the computer. But my account has a number of recurring debits (some payments) and credits (e.g., Social Security) in my checking account: same time each month, same payee or source, same amount credited or deposited. Having to commit these transactions each time they occur, again and again, seems unnecessary and certainly isn't elegant: this is a computer running software, and it can execute repeating tasks.

This subject has appeared before in the Discussions, but apparently has never been implemented.

Most folks with checking accounts have regular transactions, and allowing auto-commit when a recurring transaction is created would be a useful improvement.
