For starters, I'm an ex Quicken and QuickBooks user and I'm really enjoying the use of CheckBook Pro - great job!! I apologize if this has already been requested/discussed or if I forgot to set a preference that enables this feature - I was unable to find anything in your forums. It would be really nice when I'm editing the To/From field that the software attempts to fill in the category field based on the last time I edited this field with the same entry (To/From). For example if I enter in Exxon it puts in Auto:Fuel in the Categories field based on the last time I entered this "To" vendor. If it is the first time, ie it can't find Exxon in any other entries, the Category field remains blank but if it does find Exxon in a previous entry, it puts in whatever Category was associated with that previous entry (including blank). Thank you. |

I would like to second this request. Linking the To/From field to the Category field would save hug amounts of time entering transactions. |

I think this would be a very valuable feature as well. Most of the To/Froms that I enter have been entered previously; it might not save much time, but it would be incredibly convenient for previously entered categories to be associated with their Tos and Froms. Thank you! |

This would be so vital for me for such an amazingly designed app that I would be willing to dive into the source code to implement it. |

We actually have linked Autofill (to/from and category) working in our latest CheckBook and CheckBook Pro beta. We have it in the hands of a few CheckBook users who are currently testing it out. |
