Overall I really like CBP, however, my one big niggle is the lack of a "properly" implemented auto decimal function whereby the decimal point is added two places from the right, ie. when $123456 is entered it would automagically become $1234.56 (rather than the current $123456.00).

When I searched I was only able to find two other posts requesting this, so for all I know not many ppl care about this, but dang, it sure annoys me >:{

Just as an idea, it could be added as a preference checkbox (like in moneydance).

Other than this issue keep up the good work!

BTW, I'm using CBP v. 2.2.1 (but this issue has been around for as long as I've been using CBP)

EDIT - Haha I just noticed someone just posted this very topic, but didn't use the word "decimal" so I didn't see it on my search. My apologies!!

We've added another +1 to this feature request, thanks for the feedback!

You can add me to the +1 list. Also a pet peeve for me. There are two issues. 1. the place holder text in the amount field should automatically clear when the user enters data into the field. Instead, the user text is added to or inserted into the existing $0.00 test string. 2. There should be a preference that allows for automatic currency punctuation when entering numerical values into this field to include 100th decimal place and commas per 1000th.

We've got you down as another +1 for the automatic currency punctuation request and we can certainly look into making that a Preference option.

Also, we may look into having the placeholder $0.00 clear from the Amount field when single-clicked for a future release. For now, perhaps you could try tabbing to the Amount field as you're inputting new Entries—this way the $0.00 gets fully selected and typing another value completely replaces it.
