In CheckBook 2.7.27 is there a way to delete a misspelled Description?

Each Account in CheckBook uses the 50 most recent Entries to construct the Descriptions list, by default. So, changing what’s in the Description field for recent entries would be the best way to fix the misspelling, with the default setting still active—you can perform a Search for the items associated with the misspelled term using the white Search field at the top of the main window, to make finding what you need to change easier.

Another option would be reducing the number down from 50, if that feels like too many. To get started, go to the Account menu at the top of your screen, click the Edit Account... menu option, click the button marked “To/From”, and then click the menu button displaying “50” to then choose a lower value (assuming the The Last X Entered Items option is still applied there). Or, supposing you’d, instead, prefer to switch to a manually-managed list that can be edited directly, click the circle beside where it says “The Following Items” and use the arrow marked with a swooping arrow to populate the list with your recently used items.
