One of my accounts now has a red circle with the number 1 appearing next to the name, similar to the unread emails/messages commonly seen on our phones. What does this indicator mean?

That is interesting; just checked and do not see that on any of my accounts?. Please post if you figure it out.

That red circle is a notification badge denoting there's one Scheduled Entry pending inside the Account. Try double-clicking the circle or going to the Schedule menu and selecting the Scheduled Entries menu option, in order to get to where you can address any and all upcoming items that are scheduled for the Account. You have the option of either committing or removing the pending item to clear out the notification.

That is beneficial! I never noticed it when I had some scheduled entries (since deleted them).
