Post subject:  Filtering for, or specifying a blank field?

I've done some searching here, and haven't found an answer to this question: When building a smart folder, is there a way to specify a field criteria (in this case, the category field) as "blank" or "empty" or "no data"?
Thank you!

Unfortunately, no. But, that's an option we can certainly consider for inclusion in a future version. For now, you might try sorting by Category if you'd like to quickly isolate uncategorized entries because this will make it where all uncategorized entries jump to either the top or bottom of the register (depending on whether things are sorted in ascending or descending order).

Thanks Allan, for clarifying. Your workaround is in fact what I already do, but because I tend to categorize hundreds of entries in one sitting, a smart folder would eliminate a LOT of scrolling AND let me keep the alphabetical sort for the repeat vendor transactions.
I do love this app for its simplicity though... suits my simple needs quite well. Thanks.
