Even if you don’t port to iPad, as you have repeatedly said, could you come up with some kind of register that could carry over? I pay many bills from the iPad, and then I have to copy them into CBP on the desktop.

Being able to sync the registers would be great!

With CheckBook (Pro), it's possible to export to QIF, CSV, and tab-delimited—most finance/spreadsheet apps (whether for iPadOS, macOS, PC, or whatever platform) can import at least one of these formats. To find the export options, head to the File menu and slide down to hover over "Export".

Similarly, most finance/spreadsheet apps can export to one of the formats CheckBook Pro is capable of importing, supposing you wish to go the other direction. Here are the importable formats: QIF, OFX, QFX, CSV or tab-delimited Text. After a file's been exported and copied to your Mac, it’s just a matter of choosing the Import option from the File menu at the top of the screen to begin adding the data to the currently selected account.

Excellent! I have a spreadsheet app on the iPad, and it will export CSV.

So all I need to do is set up two columns: payee, and amount, and I can import them into CBP, correct?

Thanks, Allan.

Good deal, Mike! And, you can most certainly import Payee and Amount information, but you're not limited to dealing with just two columns. You can actually have far more columns in a CSV—you'll later choose where the various columns of data belong in CheckBook Pro, such as in the spots for the Type, Description, Date, etc.
