I just installed the 2.6.9 update on my MacbookPro running Mojave 10.14.6 and have run into the following problems.

1. I use splits for categorizing items purchased on credit cards. When I attempt to enter splits, CBP no longer automatically moves to the next line. Rather, it jumps back to the first line and I have to manually click on the line I want to use. Sometimes it takes several clicks to get CBP to respond.

2. CPB no longer auto-fills the from/to or category fields based on previous entries (the 'memory' problem). In the earlier version all I had to do was type a few letters to get either the correct recipient name or a drop down menu from which to choose and then the category I had previously used with that recipient would automatically appear.

Can you help me fix these?

The issue with tabbing to create new split lines is something we're aware of that's going to be fixed in the next version. The Autofill feature should still work great in 2.6.9, though—can you go to the CheckBook menu, select the Preferences menu item, click Entry, and ensure the Autofill Categories option is still active for you there?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the "Autofill" is selected in preferences (I did check that before I posted originally). Maybe I wasn't as clear as I should have been. The problem I'm having has to do with wanting to autofill categories when entering split lines, not when entering individual entries. Indeed the latter seems to work fine. Even if I have multiple split lines in one entry with the same recipient and I manually enter a category in the first time I use that recipient, CBP does not autofill the next time I chose the same recipient.

Thanks for the additional information! Looks like the Autofill feature won't always work for new Debit split lines, and that's actually related to the issue that's affecting the tabbing—we'll have it all fixed-up in the next update, for sure.
