I have a few monthly recurring debits that I have "scheduled" I don't want to be alerted ever hour or less. I am aware of the impending debit. Have I set it up wrong or if not can I turn off the alerts?

The alerts can't be turned off in the current version, unfortunately. That's an option we can look at adding to a future update, though.
