It would be great to be able to change the bit rate and sample rate of the resulting file. I have many books from Audible.com, but am finding that I am starting to collect MP3s audio books. The MP3s are huge files compared to the audible files.

I travel a lot for work and usually try to take 4 audio books with me since two day trips often become 7 day trips with lots of flying.

Changing the bit and sample rates to 16 kbps and 16.000 kHz would make the sound quality comparable to Audible3 and cut the file size by up to 90%.
