Post subject: | Audiobook Builder Files vs mp4 Files |
Hi, I noticed that I have both an audiobook builder project file and the completed mp4 file saved to my Mac when I finish copying a book on CD. Both files are about 450 MB. I am wondering, can I delete the audiobook builder Project file when I'm done importing CDs and building the mp4 file? This would save some space for me. I'm not seeing the benefits of saving the project file unless I need to add to it. Do you create and save a new project file for every audiobook you build? Just wondering what the normal workflow for this is. Thanks Ginger |

Hi, Bumping this because I'm still waiting to hear if it is ok to delete the audiobook file once I've created my mp4 file? Thanks Ginger |

The main benefits for saving an Audiobook Builder Project file are indeed if you want to add the project later but also if you ever needed to build it again. If you're completely satisfied with your final Audiobook file that's been built, it's perfectly fine to delete the Project file. Also, a new Project file is saved for each time you create a new project and not each time you build. The build process just creates the final Audiobook file but the Project is the document you work inside of to essentially design that final file. You could create a hundred Project files that never get built or create one Project that gets built a hundred times. Just think of the Project files as containing the blueprints for your Audiobooks as well as the original files. |
