I'm trying to build an audiobook and one file (out of approximately 150) will not import into ABB in the "Add Files" section. It plays fine in iTunes as an MP3. I tried re-importing it into iTunes twice. Once just standard (re-did the entire CD), and once with error correcting turned on in iTunes. I also tried importing it via the ABB "Import CD" function. And I still get an error on the file.

The error message I get is not helpful. It says after: Audiobook Builder encountered the following error(s): "Audiobook Builder 1.5.3"

I've made over 30 audiobooks and have never run into this before. Any thoughts on what to do? It don't want to miss 7 minutes of my book!

Thank you.

That is highly unusual...

Would it be possible for you to send us the problem file so that we can take a look at it? If we can replicate the error here, there is a good chance that we can figure out why Audiobook Builder is not performing as expected there. So, if the file is not too big, attach it to an email to us at support@splasm.com.

We appreciate you helping us gather more information!

I just emailed you the file.
It's very strange that it's not working -- it plays fine from the email too!
Thanks for any help.

I'm having the exact same problem. I have built 20 or so audio books previously without a problem. However, the most recent one has three tracks that won't import either from iTunes or directly from the CD.

Any solutions?

I'm having exactly the same issue after never experiencing it before. It's happening on just one track on a one of 13 CDs that I've been trying to import today.

We found the root cause of akfuller's issue to be related to a uni-code character in the original file that was confusing the QuickTime component that Audiobook Builder uses.

If you think your issue is the same or related, send your problem file to us at support@splasm.com and we can take a look at it to see if the fix that got akfuller going will help you too.

Thanks!
