Hi,
I need to join some aac-files to one big one. I want just to join without reencoding the files. So the output aac should have the same settings as the input files. I noticed, that the "pass through" option is checked (build options) - and I can't uncheck the option. Do I have to set up the encoding values in Audiobook builder exact the same as the original files have? Or will the settings automatically be detected by ABB?

Kind regards

Kai

Kai,

Audiobook Builder will automatically detect if Pass Through is possible, and then enable the CheckBox in the build options. If the CheckBox is gray, it means pass through is not possible and will not be used (it wont matter if the grayed out box is checked or not checked.)

If the Pass Through box is enabled, having it checked will ignore your quality settings and just use the existing files as they are. If you uncheck the box, it will force a re-encode in the quality you specify in the build options. If it is grayed out, Audiobook Builder has to re-encode and will use your quality settings specified. I hope this helps!
