I'm using version 2.1.4 on my M1 MacBook Air running Monterey 12.0.1. Since the upgrade, I get a window prompting me to give access to the path (CD drive, Apple SuperDrive that worked until the upgrade). Even if I click "Allow", it doesn't do anything with the drive. I'm able to download the files manually or using Apple Music, but ABB doesn't seem to trigger the drive to read the disk. Suggestions?

Hi there!

Could you check on whether Audiobook Builder is allowed access to removable volumes? Here's how to peek at that:

    1. Go to the Apple () menu at the top left corner of your screen and click the System Preferences... menu item. The System Preferences window will appear.

    2. Click the Security & Privacy icon.

    3. Click the Privacy button in the row of tab buttons near the top of the window.

    4. Scroll down the list on the left side of the window and click the Files and Folders item.

    5. Scroll through the list on the right side of the window and see if Audiobook Builder has a Removable Volumes item. If it does, make sure that has a checkmark.

Let's knock that out as a possibility and take it from there!

Good suggestion, but alas the checkmark was already set.

With that knocked out, the next thing to be sure of is that when Audiobook Builder asks for access to the Volumes folder it's actually showing the Volumes folder and only the Volumes folder, rather than any one disc, is selected when you click the Allow button. The selection should be automatically set to what Audiobook Builder needs, so you only need to click the Allow button as soon as the prompt appears without navigating or selecting anything. Can you confirm that when you see the prompt you're not clicking anything else before you click the Allow button?

We just got the new version 2.2 and the problem has gone away - solved! It doesn't even ask the question.

Thanks for your help - and your great product.
