I wonder if you'll be supporting Elgato's Turbo.264 product to pass H264 encoding from the main CPUs to the USB stick. I know I'd really appreciate this as an owner of both, it'd make mass conversion much faster.

Thanks,
Henry

Just came here to ask exactly the same! I got my Turbo.264 in the post today... and while it is an amazing speed gain the software leaves much to desire compared to ViddyUp! No subtitles support and cropping for example, and only limited options when it comes to exporting the movie. Also, strangely, the files generated with Turbo.264 are some 20-30% bigger than those created with ViddyUp! No idea why. Still, the speed bump on my Powerbook G4 is worth the pain. Not to speak of the fact that my CPU isn't drained to the last drop.

Yes, I'll add my vote for the TurboH264 support. Even though I have an Intel iMac (and there is no appreciable speed boost with the TurboH264 that I can see), the ability to offload the rendering to a hardware device frees up my iMac to do many other things.

So, some 7 months ahead... no support for Turbo 264 nor any reply from customer support at Splasm to this thread. Not good.

I find myself using other solutions more and more these days, namely Elgato's own conversion app for the Turbo 264 and Submerge for subtitles. Viddy Up could do all this in ONE app... but alas, the developers seem to be sound asleep and not listening to their customers. Not good.
