Is it possible the files you've tried with Podner 1.1.3 were encoded in DivX or 3ivx, and the proper QuickTime component is either not installed or not functioning correctly? If you suspect an issue with Podner, the easiest way to check whether QuickTime itself understands each file is to try opening them in QuickTime Player. If either of our suggestions is appropriate then QuickTime Player will also show a white display instead of actual video. At that point, we would suggest using QuickTime Player's Show Movie Info command, under the Window menu, to check the format of the video stream. If it says DivX, Xvid or 3ivx then make sure you have the appropriate QuickTime component installed by checking /Users/[your username here]/Library/QuickTime/ and /Library/QuickTime/. If you don't see the DivX and 3ivx components then you may need to download and install one or the other. You can find the DivX 6.0 component at
http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/download/ , and the 3ivx component is available at
http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html .
If the videos do work correctly in QuickTime Player but not in Podner it would be extremely helpful if you could send us a sample file that does not work in Podner so we can test with it here. If that's the case, please send a sample file to
support@splasm.com and we'll investigate.
Thanks!
