Useful product considering that why Apple can't understand that a lot of people don't like bright screens all the time...
BUT What a nightmare: this has happened to me a couple of times in that when one is working fast, its possible to slide the slider over to the left so far quickly when toning down the brightness that the screen goes TOTALLY black!! EEEEEEk!!!!! I'm suddenly in a blacked out environment and can't find my way out!!!!

As i've been working fast i've been unlucky enough to have released the mouse, I can't undo this BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND THE SLIDER ANYMORE. What a nightmare! ....
....and resarting the iMac doesn't help as this black screen kicks in when the desktop is re-built.

Any hints or easy way out of this easily appreciated, and surely there should be some way thats built-in to this to get back to a default that just involves the keys or something.

So there I am with live work on the screen and a deadline. It's all there but i can't see it! How did i get out of this silly situation?
Luckily i have my Brightness control situated in the botom corner so i had some idea where it was, so imagining the cursor i dragged the mouse to where i imagine the Brightness Control window would be and swiped it many times to the right BLIND in the hope that one of my swipes would hit the slider!
Eventually it worked but this is hardly what one would expect to be doing with all this technology in this day and age...
Please advise and amend in some way please.

you can hit the escape key and return to full brightness, or you can use the Command Q key combo to quit the application and restore your brightness. Hope this helps!
