While doing routine downloads of transactions for two different credit card accounts, to my surprise, one batch of transactions shows up in both accounts.

I thought that was impossible as CBpro required account numbers to match. No serious damage down as I have a back up on hand to restore from. I have been happily using CBpro for 4-5(?) years now and never seen this before. I easily could have fumbled in the import process but wouldn't the account number match prevent this from happening? Or maybe there is no account number match?

Look forward to your interpretation

Mary

Hello, anybody home?

Is there or is there not account number matching when you import transactions from the web?

thanks

Is the question really that silly? The silence is deafening.....

If two different credit card accounts happen have the exact same field structure is there anything to prevent me from erroneously importing transctions to the wrong account such as an account number match?

Beginning to think I will have to do a little experimenting to find out...

I am away from my computer at the moment, but I think the mistake was on your end. I do not believe CBPro "matches" account numbers as the import process is not that sophisticated. Just make sure you have the right account open into which you want to import your transactions. Methinks you might accidentally have imported the same file into two different accounts.
Mind you, I am away from my computer and am not able to check this out, so you may well have to experiment for yourself!
