Post subject:  Meet my needs?

I have been using SEE Finance but I've decided it's more than I need and am thinking of switching to Checkbook. I want to record checks, categorize them, search for names and dates, record recurring expenses and create categorized reports for tax purposes. Does it have a backup feature? I don't need budgeting and investments. It would be nice if the program could import from SEE (their instructions say I can import QIF and CSV, but I haven't tried it) App Store said that Checkbook sometimes crashes but I noticed that you have come out with Checkbook2.

It sounds like CheckBook would meet your needs! Everything you listed is possible and there is indeed a Backup feature—manual backups can be made by choosing the Backup option under the File menu and the application backs-up automatically about once a week as well.

As for importing SEE data, that should be possible because that app appears to be able to export data to QIF and CSV also, both of which are formats CheckBook can import.

The best thing would be for you to download the free trial to check it out. Here's where to go on our site for that: http://www.splasm.com/checkbook/index.html
