Nice job, updated mine it all seems OK.

Love the multi currency options I use UK and Canadian accounts and it works great.

It seems to also do the exchange rate and tells me the total in my default currency.

Where is it getting the exchange rate from?

Ray

Account > Edit All Accounts > Currencies
You can alter the Rates as you wish or even add more :)

The settings do puzzle me a bit - I have GBP set as my Base Currency, so I would expect Checkbook to use GBP as the 1.00000 base, but the USD is obviously still used as the base because the USD rate =1.00000

However, in the 'Edit Currency' window for USD, 1 USD = 1GBP !

As Raymate asked, does Checkmate update exchange rates from the internet, or does it have to be done manually (could be a full-time job the way the USD is going :) )

Looks like a bug with the data migration process from CheckBook 1.x. If you choose a non-USD Base Currency during that process the exchange rates aren't being converted to match the new Base Currency. Just selecting that Currency again in the All Accounts Currencies section should force that conversion and GBP should end up with a rate of 1.00000.

Yes, that fixed it - thanks Keith.

Does CheckBook update exchange rates from the internet, or does it have to be done manually?

It's manual for now. We've looked at pulling them down from a few places but we haven't found a good source for all or even most currencies. There's also a consideration with customized Currencies having non-standard codes - they wouldn't be updated automatically in any event.

Keith, might I suggest you look into the product called TopCalculette Pro http://www.rubensoft.com/Products/TopCa ... ro_US.html
This versatile calculator updates its currency everyday and on prompt.
I would think you should be able to do the same with CheckBook Pro.
