I would like to start by saying that I love checkbook. By far the best I have found.

I think it would be great if you could add an Archive feature to the date list. The first thing I do whenever I open checkbook is set the filter to "this month", it would be so cool if there was a simple way to default to that view, and to look up past months as well. Currently I create a summery of every month when I'm done, which gives me an easy way to look over one month at a time if I need to, but I still have all of those entries in the list.

Well, that's my suggestion for the year!

Thanks again for a great program.

Could somebody explain what is meant by 'archiving' please? I was scanning the forum to see if somebody had asked about a feature which I would like - i.e. the ability to close an account at the end of the year, save it, and begin a new year with the correct starting balance. Is that 'archiving'?

Thanks, I'm just checking that I'm on the same wavelength as everybody else - I'm not very often
