Hi!
Question for you.
My everyday bank offers OFX and QFX for export. I have always used OFX. Recently I chose QFX thinking they were basically the same. Two days later I noticed that I had a bunch of duplicate transactions for the month of October. If my imports had overlapped (which they easily could have) would using the two different formats make for the duplicates? Or is my bank playing games with transaction numbers, which they have done before.....

Not catastrophic situation but it is making me nervous ....

Many thanks

OFX and QFX are essentially the same format so switching from one to the other shouldn't lead to duplicates being imported. It does seem likely that the bank changed something about some field. Basically, it's important for almost every field for an item being imported to match up with those of an existing entry in order for the application to view it as a duplicate and, therefore, not import it.
