Under Search General I tick Unresolved and Unreconciled. However when I later return to Checkbook Pro 2.5.6 Unresolved and Unreconciled are not selected and every entry is shown.

Any ideas?

It's in Checkbook Preferences.

What t3rockhall is very accurately pointing out is that you'll want to check your Preferences to ensure the QuickFilter/Search options are maintained constantly. Since you mentioned using version 2.5.6, though, I just wanted to chime in to note that the Preferences are a bit different from the screenshot in the newer version. In 2.5.6, 'Save Search Options When Switching Accounts' would need to be checked from the General area shown (which replaces 'Save QuickFilter Options Between Sessions'), but also, from the Entry Preferences, ensure that where it says 'When Changing Entries' that 'Do Nothing' is selected to keep things from being cleared automatically no matter what.

Thanks folks. That fixed it. The settings must have changed as a result of the last upgrade. :D
