I opened Accounts-All Accounts that has 4 different accounts.

Now I want to add another account.

Clicking the Accounts icon in the upper right hand corner slides out the listing of all the accounts.

Then at the bottom of that drawer i click the + button for New Account and proceed to create a New Account named good times account.

This new account created shows in the listing of all the accounts in that sliding in/out drawer i.e. 4 + 1 = 5 accounts showing.

I am called away from my computer so i quit CheckBookPro 2.5.4.

When i come back and launch CBPro then select Accounts-All Accounts that new account I created named good times account is NOT THERE.

What the ***** Come on CBPro what did you do to me. My new account has absconded by CBPro. Where is all my money? Call the bank.

What am i doing wrong guys ?

This should be so simple but it is so frustrating in this new version of CBPro.

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. So long as you're definitely returning to the same Accounts file where the new Account was created, it should be showing up right where you left it. Are you finding that any other changes aren't getting saved? Are subsequent attempts to create the new Account still not working as expected to (perhaps just create a new Account, quit, and relaunch to see)?

If the answer is yes to any of the above questions, we'll want to gather some additional information to check for errors that might be getting logged behind-the-scenes on your Mac. Supposing it comes to going this route, would you be willing to email us your system logs to support@splasm.com? We can send over the steps for collecting those files, if need be.

Here’s the steps required to collect the system logs:

1. Click the Finder icon in your Dock.

2. Go up to the top of the screen to click the on the word ‘Go’ in the menu bar. From the drop-down menu, click on ‘Go to Folder...’. A sheet will slide down from the Finder window.

3. Within the field labeled ‘Go to folder:’ on the sheet, paste in “/var/log” (without the quotes).

4. Hit the Go button and you’ll end up inside a folder that contains many files. Scroll down to locate any files with “system.log” in the name (there could be 5-10 or so).

5. Attach the system log files to an email to support@splasm.com .
