That's a sure sign you've got an older version of CheckBook or CheckBook Pro installed there. More recent versions will definitely resolve this issue for you. Go to the CheckBook or CheckBook Pro menu at the top left of your screen and look for the Check For Updates... menu item. If it's there, click it and follow the directions to get the update. If it's not there, you probably purchased from the Mac App Store, so you'll want to open the Mac App Store, click the Updates button at the top of the window and update the app from there.
