I recently updated my macbook air to Maverick OS, when entering a dollar amount it won't take and reverts back to 0.00. Any suggestions.

That's a sure sign you've got an older version of CheckBook or CheckBook Pro installed there. More recent versions will definitely resolve this issue for you. Go to the CheckBook or CheckBook Pro menu at the top left of your screen and look for the Check For Updates... menu item. If it's there, click it and follow the directions to get the update. If it's not there, you probably purchased from the Mac App Store, so you'll want to open the Mac App Store, click the Updates button at the top of the window and update the app from there.

Once the new version is installed you should be all set. Let us know how things turn out!

Hey, I had the same issue. I was using version 2.1.1. I did an update to 2.5.4 and this did not fix my problem. Any update on this issue?

The issue with using version 2.1.1 on Mountain Lion or Mavericks is that no Entry can be submitted with an Amount other than 0.00. In version 2.3.2 or higher, non-zero Amounts should be able to be added just as expected. If you're definitely using 2.5.4, just know that all new Entries should be fine but any submitted 0.00 values will remain and just need to be changed. For that, use the Change button.
