Why is the balance column not correct? All the result of additions and subtractions of income and expenditure are wrong. Help please! Yes, I am a new user...

The information in the Balance column is relative to when the Entry was input, so it shows the Account Balance at the time the Entry hit the Account. Basically, that column shows a running Balance and so really only makes sense for line-by-line comparisons when things are sorted chronologically. Anyway, try clicking the Date column header (the rectangle at the top of the Dates that says 'Date' in it) to get sorted by Date to see if that helps put things right.
