Just upgraded to CheckBook 2.5.2. I am a little confused on restoring a file. If I save a backup as 130704BU.cbaccounts to restore do I have to rename file as accounts.cbaccounts and replace the existing file in my Documents/CheckBook folder?

Restoring from a Backup in the new version is as simple as opening up the Backup (by double-clicking, dragging the file onto the icon, or accessing using the Open option)—this just leaves your other file in place while the application begins to access the Backup from wherever it's stored moving forward. If you want to get rid of the main file and keep the Backup in Documents instead, you could certainly do the rename and replace, though. Otherwise, in keeping both in place, just be sure you're not switching back and forth between the two files since the documents can be maintained separately now. You're able to tell which item you're working on because the file name will show at the top of the window.
