I am trying to determine whether one part of a split entry can be designated as
"tax deductible." For example, I purchase a prescription from my drug store(tax deductible)along with an other item which is not tax deductible. I have been making two separate entries in the register as a work around. Seems to me there should be some way of noting the tax deductible item in the split.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Seems that has been requested before in the suggestions forum. It is a good one that I, too, would like to see implemented as now I have to do the same thing as you and put in two different entries!
