The first use of CBPro upgrade to 2.5 is acting up:

CBPro v 2.5 quits unexpectedly after this clickstream:
FILE>BACKUP> "back up" window appears > SAVE > REPLACE>spinning beachball of death appears > "CBPro Quit Unexpectedly".

This result is repeatable after restart.

I have the crash report if needed.

How to proceed?
Dave

You should post this up in the Checkbook Forum. I don't know how often the mods come down here.

For me, Backup simply places a copy of the accounts file on the desktop. It isn't meant to "work" from there.

Yes, please do send the crash report to us at support@splasm.com.

Also, while you're at it, would you be willing to generate a System Information/Profiler report and attach it to the email as well? For that, you'll want to replicate the issue and then just after, open /Applications/Utilities/System Information.app (or System Profiler.app on later operating systems), then go to the File menu and click the 'Save...' menu item.

We'll get this sorted out!

Hi Dave,

This turned out to be an error we made in the backup code that only affected Mac OS X Leopard users. We just released CheckBook Pro 2.5.1 with a fix. You can grab the update at http://www.splasm.com/checkbookpro/update.html.

For the technically-minded, don't use a "__block" variable in a scope that'll be executed on Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier!
