After installing today's up-grade all I saw was a blank screen and no accounts.

I killed the new Check Book Pro and replaced it in the "Applications" folder with the old one "CheckBook Pro (63).app". However, when I opened it there were no transactions after June 2011.

I'm feeling a bit nauseous and dizzy. Can anyone help me? This is not pretty.

Send an email to support. They are great at figuring this kind of stuff out.

Good Luck!

Hi Bernie,

We got your email and sent the first info gathering steps, but I wanted to let everyone know the gist. If you get any data at all after the update migrates your data, everything available to 2.5 was migrated and it's just a question of figuring out why only some data is visible. It could be there's more than one Account and an older one is selected, or a trip of the finger in QuickFilter, or a Smart Folder is selected, or multiple versions of CheckBook Pro were in use before the update. That last one is fun. There's the possibility that you could've used a recent version of CheckBook until the middle of 2011, then used a slightly older version that was just old enough to store its Accounts in one of the places we used to use, so older data was in the most recent place we've used (~/Library/Application Support/Splasm Software, Inc.) and that older data was picked up by 2.5. It sounds complicated, but it's a piece of cake, really - we're pretty good at setting things straight when we get enough details :). Looking forward to getting you back up and running in the morning, Bernie!

I have hope. Even though the hour is late, Splasm answered my email within minutes, before I had a chance to post this. Thank you, Keith.

Solved! Thanks, Keith! If I could, I would relabel this topic title to "Problem SOLVED: Lost...."

I don't know what I did installing it but Splasm held my hand until I got all my data back. Hats off to great competent service.

No problem, Bernie. And ... you can change a topic's subject by editing the first post's subject :).
