greetings,
new to cb pro. used quicken for a number of years as i have read most others have also. i have done some searching but have not found what i need.
quicken 2008 was the pc version i was using. just got an iMac and am learning about it. i downloaded cb pro and want to transfer my quicken files to cb pro. i saved my quicken back up to a jump drive. the extensions are .idx .qph .qex and etc. i have read that the files need to be .QIF, but being computer stupid, i have absolutely no clue as to how to convert files. i am assuming that it is not as simple as plugging in the jump drive and opening cb pro and just magically having all my years of data appear and moving on?
if anyone can guide me on what i need to do it would be appreciated. reminder, i am computer challenged so please keep it simple and stupid.
Andy
UPDATE:
ok, i did a bit more searching and found that i needed to save as a .QIF file from my old pc, so I did that. I have been trying to import but nothing seems to be happening
UPDATE-2:
ok, i figured it out. I saved from pc to jump drive with accounts and then got them loaded on cb pro. so far, good to go.
