I have been using Moneydance to maintain accounts for a Neighbourhood Watch group. As this is the end of the FY, I thought I might present a report which showed a graphical view of our accounts alongside the figures - as Checkbook summary does so well. However, all my splits show as "No Type" which means the year's summary is meaningless - the figure for No Type doesn't tell the members what it is for, and the figures for individual types are incorrect because they don't include amounts hidden in the No Type.

I read in the Forum that V2 would correct this and would be available before the end of 2006 - where are you at? I wold be happy to use Checkbook if the summaries showed the correct situation.

We experienced some setbacks in the middle of 2006 that led us to a substantial delay in delivering in CheckBook 2.0. And, we just plain threw too much into the 2.0 project. During some of our earlier growing pains we committed to including a lot more in 2.0 than we knew how to implement in a timely manner. It's our primary focus now, with a couple of major features, some polish and quality assurance left to go. It's been working properly with Split line items for a while now, too. I wish we could let it out in its current form but it's just not ready yet. It will be here soon, though, and we're doing everything we can to make it sooner than later. Hang in there!
