Randy, never mind this question. I realized by playing with the program that the window in any account stays at the last place you save an entry so if I make an entry on top, then when I reopen the account that is where the cursor will be and the window will be where I want it. This answers the follow question, doesn't it?:

I have one question. I notice that when you click the date column it puts the date in either ascending order of date or descending order of date. However, as I click from account to account, despite the fact that I want the scroll bar to scroll the window to the place that I want to open to see the latest entry and add a new one perhaps, I notice that sometimes one account opens with the scroll bar scrolled down to the earliest date a year ago and in another account, the account opens with the window scrolled to the last entry I made. Since I have the dates ascending with the latest entry at the top of the window, when I open any account, I want it to open with the window scrolled to the very top of the window. But usually, but not always, the window is scrolled down to the starting balance a year ago and I have to move the scroll bar up to get to the place on top where I wish the program would always open up to by itself. Any way to tell the program to be scrolled up to the latest entry upon opening of any account?
Stephen

Yes, CheckBook will move the window position to show the last selected entry.
