Hello,

I am purchasing a mac and am moving from quicken 2006 deluxe to a mac version that will handle my finances and tell me where my money goes.

Are you happy using checkbook after quicken?
I know checkbook does not have all the features.

Thanks

Frank

Yes, I'm very happy with CB for the very reason you cited; it does not have all the bells and whistles. I started using Quicken many years ago but got tired of paying for upgrades for one "bug fix" and perhaps 10 of the latest and greatest features which I will never use. The decision was made for me when we entered the current century and my current version would not accept 2000 years. Then a year or so later Quicken stopped supporting older versions which, for me, confirmed they were not interested in supporting the single user who sees no need to update whenever they bring out a new version.

CB is much easier to use, to find things, to change entries, etc. Even the scheduling feature which some posters have found to be less then they would like to have, I have found very adequate. Oh, I almost forgot, CB's reporting is so much easier to work with. I have never regretted the change.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will try it once I get my mac.
