Hi Folks. I just bought a copy of your program, and building has been running for over an hour on a book of 14 disks, which is too long to be usable. I'm using version 1.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 on an older iMac (1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM). This mac acceptably runs almost all current programs, so it must be Audiobook Builder that's the problem. I read the docs about speed:

Quote:
Building can take quite a while depending on how fast your Mac is, the length of the Project and whether the audio data was imported from CDs. If Pass through is not possible, slower Macs (say, 800MHz) may take around 4x less than the actual length of the Project, while faster Macs (2GHz or better) can do the job quite a bit faster.

Is taking hours to build acceptable to you? (Since it hasn't finished, I don't even know if the program works at all.) Not to me, I'm afraid. If you have tips, I'd like to hear them. Otherwise, the program does not work properly as advertised, and I'd like to get a refund, please. Sorry to sound pissy - I'm really disappointed.

Audiobook Builder's Build process definitely shouldn't take over an hour, particularly with pass through being used. If you're still having issues, we'll want to gather some additional information about what's going on there to cause the lag. Firstly, try building again and if it takes a while, cancel it, and generate a System Information report for us to check out. For that, go up to the Apple menu at the top left of your screen, click the About This Mac item (an About This Mac window will appear), hit the More Info… button, click the System Report... button (a new window will appear), then go to the File menu and click the Save... item. Then, attach the resulting file to a email to support@splasm.com. Thanks!
