Hello,
I'm importing from CDs.
One of the CDs is telling me:

Unable to copy a temporary file
Source: /Volumes/nameOfAudioFile.aiff
Destination: /var/folders/hc/hcSUIQT3HOyK3JfhGB-Q4++++TM/-Tmp-/.audiobookbuildercdimporttemp.21
File error: 42

What does the 42 mean?

I tried searching on the forum for it - but came up with no answer.

Thank you,
Jeff

Many times this is a result of a dirty, scratched or otherwise damaged CD. You may want to try pulling it out and give it a quick cleaning and trying again. If you are still having problems, you may want to use iTunes with Error Correction turned on and attempt to import using iTunes itself. If it is successful and the data is all there, you can locate that imported CD in iTunes drag and drop it into your Audiobook Builder project.

If iTunes is having trouble as well and the CD is heavily scratched, you may want to look into a CD cleaning or polishing kit if you need to recover the audio off that disc.

Thanks for the suggestions.
So it is ok to rip the rest of the discs directly in this program, and then add the problem disc from an iTunes import? Hadn't realized that! Very cool.

Does it matter the settings that I choose in iTunes when I rip?

When this program makes 1 file out of all the CDs (and iTunes file) will it all have the same sound quality?

Thank you,
Jeff

I would choose a quality equal to or greater than what you have set in Audiobook Builder. Audiobook Builder used to be able to pass through AAC audio from iTunes, but Apple changed the way iTunes AAC is encoded and the bitrate varies just enough to throw it off. iTunes audio will have to be re-encoded.
