Is it me or is the new iPod not playing well with H264 yet? I've got all the goodies QT 7.0.3, the codecs and plug-ins, etc. but still can't create a file that will play on the video iPod. The file works fine in iTunes, but won't copy over to the iPod stating something like "this file wasn't copied because the iPod can't play it." When I hit the custom buttons in Podner, I do notice that the screen setting is wrong and the H264 option is greyed out. Does custom revert to a default of some sort instead of showing the settings for the highlighted item in the drop down?

The MPEG-4 files work great...but I want to seriously cram my iPod full of DVDs, etc. :)

Any suggestions? Thanks!

It sounds like you've found a movie file that doesn't encode according to the iPod's H.264 requirements. We put an extreme amount of effort into ensuring that this wouldn't happen. We now know of two potential issues with Podner that can result in movie file that does not work on the iPod and we intend to release Podner 1.0.1 Tuesday morning to resolve these issues.

We would like to make sure that your particular case is resolved by the fixes in our current build of Podner 1.0.1. Can you provide a link to one of the videos that won't encode correctly, or maybe send us a file via email to support@splasm.com?

I deleted the file during my testing, but when I come across this again, I'll send you a snippet. I was just able to successfully create a multipass file from a different .mov file (I only used a 2 min. segment to see if it would work). Hopefully the update will do the trick otherwise. Thanks for the response!
