Oh well, since no one answered this, I'll take that as a "no". I could not get it to work on my registered copy of Podner.
What I did find out is that the freeware app "iSquint" will convert them easily.

http://perian.org/, Podner (now ViddyUp) can easily do .FLV conversions.
Just remember to make sure that your FLV file has ".flv" added to the end of your filename and you're golden. Just 'drag 'n drop' it into ViddyUp.
Also, installation of Perian does require a reboot to work.
Now you can convert your YouTube FLV files very easily.
