If you quit Brightness control or restart, Your Brightness control will reset to normal. If you have it launching at startup and it is saving your previous settings, just hit the escape key to restore full brightness while it is the active application (most likely right when you screen goes dark if it is launching on startup).

If you have other startup applications, Use command tab to cycle to the next application, and try the escape key. If that wasnt the right application, hold command and hit tab twice and try escape again. if it does not reset, hold command and hit tab 3 times and keep moving up the chain until you get it.

Let us know if that helps.
